Automotive electrical diagnosis using a wiring diagram and multimeter in Edmonton

Warranty, Returns & Parts Ordering Policy

Please review this policy before approving a quote and sending payment. Do not send payment until 2901 Automotive has confirmed fitment, product options, current price and availability.

Vehicle Information and Diagnosis

Customers must provide complete and accurate vehicle information, including the VIN, year, make, model, engine and any relevant modifications. Catalogue fitment review confirms listed application only. It is not a vehicle inspection, diagnosis or guarantee that replacing a requested part will correct a symptom or concern.

Except where required by law, returns, refunds or exchanges will not be accepted for:

  • Customer misdiagnosis
  • Incorrect or incomplete vehicle information
  • Installer error or damage
  • Modified or non-original applications
  • Change of mind or duplicate orders
  • Failure to compare the replacement part before installation
  • Ordering a part that is not needed

If 2901 Automotive supplies an incorrect part after receiving complete and accurate vehicle information, we will arrange an appropriate replacement or refund.

Final-Sale Items

The following are final sale and cannot be returned for customer error, misdiagnosis, fitment preference or change of mind:

  • Electrical and electronic components
  • Sensors, switches, relays, modules and control units
  • Special-order, non-stock or discontinued parts
  • Installed, used, damaged or opened parts
  • Fluids, chemicals, gaskets, seals and repair kits
  • Clearance items and parts for modified applications

A confirmed manufacturing defect may still be submitted under the applicable manufacturer warranty. Final sale does not remove any rights that cannot legally be waived.

Order Approval and Cancellation

Submitting a request does not create an order or payment obligation. After reviewing the supplied VIN and vehicle information, 2901 Automotive provides available options with confirmed catalogue fitment, current price and availability. An order is approved only when the customer accepts that quote. Payment instructions are provided after approval. The order is processed after payment is received or cash-at-delivery is specifically arranged. Approved orders cannot be cancelled after supplier processing without written authorization from 2901 Automotive.

Supplier cancellation, return freight and restocking charges may apply where a cancellation or return is accepted. Availability and delivery times are estimates and may change because of supplier inventory or transportation delays.

Manufacturer Warranty

Parts warranties are provided by the applicable manufacturer or supplier. Warranty duration, exclusions and remedies vary by brand and product.

A warranty claim does not automatically qualify for a refund or immediate replacement. The part may require testing, inspection and approval by the supplier or manufacturer.

Customers may be required to provide:

  • Original receipt or order number
  • The allegedly defective part
  • Original packaging and labels
  • Photographs and diagnostic results
  • Proof of correct installation
  • Installation date and vehicle mileage

Coverage may be denied for incorrect installation, contamination, misuse, abuse, collision damage, modification, racing, overheating, normal wear, failure of related components, failure to follow manufacturer procedures or continued operation after a fault became apparent.

Approved remedies are limited to the repair, replacement or credit authorized by the manufacturer or supplier. Advance replacements are not provided unless separately purchased while the claim is reviewed.

Labour and Additional Costs

Except where required by law, 2901 Automotive does not cover or reimburse labour, diagnosis, programming, calibration, towing, storage, shipping, rental vehicles, loss of use, lost income or other incidental or consequential costs connected with removing, testing, returning or replacing a part.

Core Returns

Core deposits are refundable only when the correct original core is returned within the stated deadline and accepted by the supplier. Cores must be complete, assembled, drained of fluids and returned in the replacement part packaging.

Incorrect, damaged, incomplete, disassembled or late cores may be rejected or receive reduced credit.

Return Authorization

No part may be returned without prior written authorization from 2901 Automotive. Unauthorized or shipped-collect returns will not be accepted. Acceptance of a part for inspection is not approval of a refund, exchange or warranty claim.

Product Information and Applicable Law

Product descriptions, photographs and catalogue information are provided for identification and may vary by manufacturer. The customer and installer must compare the replacement part with the original before installation.

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable Alberta or Canadian law.
