Mobile Pre-Purchase Inspection — C$100
A practical mobile inspection for buyers who want more information before committing to a used vehicle.
Service area: Greater Edmonton
Availability: By appointment and weather-dependent
Booking: 50% is due only after the appointment, location and scope are accepted. The remaining balance is due before the completed findings are released.
What the inspection may include
- Exterior, visible structure and accessible underbody areas
- Tires, brakes, steering and suspension components that can be viewed safely
- Engine-bay fluid levels, visible leaks, belts, hoses and battery condition
- Warning lights and basic operating checks
- Interior equipment and visible safety concerns
- Road test when legally permitted, insured, safe and authorized
- Scan for accessible diagnostic trouble codes when appropriate
- A summary of observed findings and recommended next steps
Important inspection limits
This is a limited visual and functional inspection at the vehicle’s location. It does not include disassembly, destructive testing, removal of covers or wheels, access to a hoist, compression or leak-down testing, laboratory analysis, title or lien verification, collision-history verification, manufacturer campaign research or a guarantee against hidden, intermittent, internal or future problems.
Results are limited by vehicle condition, access, lighting, cleanliness, weather, road conditions and the information available at the appointment. The customer is responsible for obtaining the owner or seller’s permission and ensuring the vehicle is legally available, insured and safe to inspect or road-test.
An inspection reduces uncertainty; it does not certify the vehicle, guarantee roadworthiness or promise that the vehicle will not require repairs after purchase.
Repair-Cost and Vehicle-Value Estimates
When requested, 2901 Automotive may provide:
- A general repair-cost estimate for visible inspection findings
- A non-certified estimated vehicle-value range based on the information available
These are opinions for decision support only. They are not firm repair quotations, certified appraisals, guarantees of market value or promises about future costs. Parts prices, labour rates, availability and market conditions can change.
There is no obligation to purchase parts or arrange repairs through 2901 Automotive.
Second-Opinion Consulting
Already received a diagnosis, inspection report or repair estimate from another technician or repair facility? We can independently review the written information and help you understand:
- What the recommended repair is intended to address
- Whether the supplied explanation and estimate are internally consistent
- Questions to ask before authorizing work
- Which recommendations appear urgent, maintenance-related or suitable for further testing
- When another in-person inspection or diagnosis may be appropriate
Second-opinion consulting is based on the documents and information you provide. It is not a new physical inspection or diagnosis, does not authorize or reject another technician’s repair, and cannot guarantee that the original recommendation is correct or incorrect. The consultation scope and price are confirmed for your approval before payment.
