A Red Seal Automotive Technician comes to the vehicle and completes a detailed inspection checklist with photos. You receive a straightforward summary of the vehicle’s visible and accessible condition so you can make a more informed decision before handing over your money.

This is a ground-level, point-in-time condition assessment. The vehicle is not lifted, components are not removed, and the service does not diagnose the cause of problems or guarantee against hidden, internal, intermittent or future issues.

Mobile Pre-Purchase Photo Inspection — C$130

A detailed, checklist-based visual and functional inspection for buyers who want a professional second opinion before committing to a used vehicle.

Service area: Greater Edmonton
Availability: By appointment, weather-dependent and subject to safe vehicle access
Payment: A C$65 deposit (50%) is due only after the appointment, location and scope are accepted. The remaining C$65 (50%) is due once the inspection is completed. Payment is by e-transfer only. Any applicable tax is disclosed before booking.

Photo Inspection Checklist

Exterior panels, glass, lights, tires and visible damage
Visible structure and underbody areas accessible safely from ground level
Tires and visible brake, steering and suspension components
Engine-bay fluid levels, visible leaks, belts, hoses and battery condition
Warning lights and basic operating checks, without diagnosing their cause
Interior equipment and visible safety concerns
A road test when legally permitted, insured, safe and authorized
Photographs documenting relevant visible conditions and concerns
A written or electronic checklist summary of observed findings and recommended next steps

Scope and Inspection Limitations

This service assesses only the vehicle condition that is visible, accessible and observable at the specific time and location of the inspection. The vehicle is not lifted. The inspection does not include a hoist, jack, wheel removal, removal of covers, disassembly, destructive testing, compression or leak-down testing, laboratory analysis or access to hidden or internal components.

This is not a diagnostic service and does not determine the root cause of warning lights, noises, leaks, drivability concerns or other symptoms. It does not include title or lien verification, collision-history verification, manufacturer campaign research or a guarantee against hidden, intermittent, internal or future problems.

Results are limited by vehicle condition, access, lighting, cleanliness, weather, road conditions and the information available at the appointment. The customer is responsible for obtaining the owner or seller’s permission and ensuring that the vehicle is legally available, insured and safe to inspect or road-test.

2901 Automotive may decline or stop an inspection when the vehicle, location, weather, access or road conditions are unsafe or unsuitable. The inspection can reduce uncertainty, but it does not certify the vehicle, guarantee roadworthiness or promise that the vehicle will not require repairs after purchase.

Customer Decisions and Third-Party Information

The findings are prepared for the customer and vehicle identified at the time of inspection. They are not a warranty, insurance policy, certified appraisal or guarantee for a later owner or third party. The customer remains responsible for purchase, repair and maintenance decisions made after reviewing the findings.

To the extent permitted by law, 2901 Automotive is not responsible for seller concealment or misrepresentation, inaccurate or withheld information, inaccessible vehicle areas, conditions that develop after the inspection, or work later performed by another person or repair facility.

Repair-Cost and Vehicle-Value Estimates

When requested, 2901 Automotive may provide:

A general repair-cost estimate for visible inspection findings
A non-certified estimated vehicle-value range based on the information available

These are opinions for decision support only. They are not firm repair quotations, certified appraisals, guarantees of market value or promises about future costs. Parts prices, labour rates, availability and market conditions can change.

There is no obligation to purchase parts or arrange repairs through 2901 Automotive.

Already received a diagnosis, inspection report or repair estimate from another technician or repair facility? We can independently review the written information and help you understand:

Whether the supplied explanation and estimate are internally consistent

Second-opinion consulting is based on the documents and information you provide. It is not a new physical inspection or diagnosis, does not authorize or reject another technician’s repair and cannot guarantee that the original recommendation is correct or incorrect. The consultation scope and price are confirmed for your approval before payment.
